Wild Rose was originally created in 2003 and premiered for Janis Claxton & Co’s debut performance at the ICIA in Bath. It was recreated in 2004 and toured throughout the South West of England as part of the comapny’s Wilderness tour.

Set to a score for guitar and violin by Australian virtuoso violinist Cleis Pearce, this lyrical and heartfelt quintet ebbs and flows through variations of solos, duets, trios, quartets and full bodied ensemble dancing. Whilst the fluid sensuosity of Claxton’s movement style is highlighted, each dancers unique voice is revealed in this captivating and moving piece.
